In this week, I began colouring my zine in with water colours and refined it one last time. I decided to put complementary colours on the cover such as purple and yellow to make it pop out more, and put complementary colours throughout the rest of my zine too, to make it visually appealing and satisfying. Water colours were an easy yet challenging medium to use, because there wasn’t much control over the watery texture of the colours, but when manipulated correctly, could create a magnificent effect. In order to create a more interesting and accessible format for my zine, I chose to make a sort of folder/slider layout. I attached labels to each page so that each page can slide out of the box and be available for the audience to read. I also chose to write an excerpt, explaining the intention and idea behind my comics. I feel like this was needed to give the audience some context.
