In this week of our studio class, we discussed how our environment and the city that we live in shapes us as individuals. How we interact with the several elements in our city and identify these elements.
Our group chose to explore the Kala Ghoda district in Mumbai. Kala Ghoda is a district blooming with culture, art, food and diversity. There would be a lot for us to map out and explore over the next few weeks. The aspect that I chose to explore was fine arts. As I walked along the streets of Kala Ghoda, I learned how the district gives an artistic touch to almost everything. The buildings, the roads, the architecture. Every part of the district is inundated with art.
As I walked around, I took a few pictures of the area, and made depictions of these places in three perspective: fish eye, ant’s eye, and bird’s eye perspective.
