In the eighth week of our classes, we reviewed everything we had done so far including, our narratives, thumbnails, self -clicked pictures and the three drafts of the videos we made. We also got to reflect on time as a concept and how it can be interchangeable (according to me and my work). Because my narratives/thumbnails storyline differed from my video’s storyline, I began reflecting and contrasting the differences between these elements and the different perspectives of time portrayed in my two stories.
Time as a theoretical concept can mean several things at once. In my narrative, I portrayed Time as something that cannot be controlled at first, but then with music, it can be. I showed time moving fast and then slowly in my narrative. My thumbnails and narratives portrayed time to be slow, unnerving and frustrating, but when music comes in, can be turned into something that is still slow-moving but makes more sense and is less complicated. However, my video portrays time to be fast-moving and chaotic at first but with music can be slowed down and be soothing. Therefore, the different perspectives of time can be seen through music here, and we can notice how time as a concept can be relative to its perceiver.
