In this week I began creating the ideation for my final digital poster. I decided to create this on illustrator, after I created the rough edition of it last week.
Process work 1:

As mentioned last week, I plan on juxtaposing two characters, the married woman and the widow and how society views them. They are always striving for acceptance and to be treated with respect and dignity, but this is parallel to their marital status. If a woman in married, she is considered to be respected more, whereas an unmarried woman or a widow is considered to be burdensome and unworthy. I plan on portraying this idea from the movie Dor by depicting these two women in the two sided poster and and writing a collage of words behind each character.
Process work 2:

As you can see, I have added words and ideas that are associated with a woman — what a woman actually is. I wanted to surround the woman with these words because of the easy association and connection to the woman and also because of how loud the words look and portray the woman essentially, sending off the message in an easy way. However, on the right, I plan on only putting one word: Worthless. This is to show how all of the other characteristics reduce to one word when a woman does not have a man in her life and cannot rely on him.
