In the final week of our reviews, we finally got to present our collated video. I really liked conducting this project because not only was I able to learn so much about the cinematic history of my culture but I also got to create my own interpretations on it and utilise this information in my own creative way. Documenting our process, discussing our ideas and bouncing them back and forth was interesting as I could understand the different perspectives that they had to offer in order to create out final outcome. I learned how to analyse movies, look for themes, recurring motifs, significance of several elements like colours, dialogue, metaphors and analogies. There are so many underlying themes and premises in movies, I learned that you really have to listen and focus closely in order to gauge them.
The final video:
If I were to do anything differently with my group, we would probably have made it more interactive with the world, but because of these times, it would be impossible to do so. Although, given the amount of time we had and the work we put in, we are all really proud of the final outcome.
