This class was a doubt clarifying class. We began brainstorming possible ideas for our final history booklet as well as began debating about politics, creationism vs evolution controversies, and several other discussions that challenge the paths that lead to history. I personally believe in evolution, as it offers a more scientific explanation of history rather than a spiritual one. Nevertheless, it was intriguing to hear other people’s opinions and justifications on this topic and discuss it. We then moved on to discussing the objects we choose to make our mind maps on, I chose to focus on greek sculpture, pottery, monuments, clothing, jewellery. Conducting this design intervention challenged me and helped me get out of my comfort zone by being able to think up and criticise the designs of history. I chose to narrow my two main objects down to Venus de Milo and the Amphora.
