In the first week back from our break, we immersed ourselves back into creative expression. In this lesson, I understood that as designers, it is important to be able to express yourself creatively, whether it is through depictions or through writing.
I practiced this by describing my bedroom and how it has become a safe haven for me:
My bedroom is my Safe haven. A place I retreat to on good days and bad days. My favorite thing to do in my room is read books. Every time I read, the space and amenities in my room shift and transform into the settings of the stories I imagine in my head while reading. Whether it is through haunted forests, gigantic castles, wonderlands and neverlands. My room has the power to rearrange itself according to my imagination and creativity. It takes me under its wings and guides me through fairy tales and mythical tales, letting my imagination run wild and flow in its wake. My room is not just one place, it is an infinite number of places clustered into one.
This exercise helped me realise of creative visualisation through words and how important it is to creatively express yourself in order to impart messages.
