The poem that I chose to photograph, was “The Time Stopper”. This poem portrays time as an escape. Like me, a lot of people use music to escape the chaotic and harum-scarum world around them when things get too messy and too fast moving. But when we turn to music, time slows and stops and is quite ‘friendly’. Music helps us escape time and keeps us content at the same time, which is what my poem is all about.
My story embarks on the narrative of a girl studying math and looking at the book quite confusingly. The math is a jumble of equations and chaos in her head, making it hard for her to come to terms with the present. She then spots her headphones and her phone, which tempt her to play music. Once she does, the last slide shows her immediate contentment. Music calms her and stops the time around her. Hence, this gives time a calming and nurturing perspective.
