As we were taught how to use the paint brush tool in order to create different effects, I learned how to use layer mask to overlap certain elements in a picture in order to show an illusion of depth and distance.
I also learned how to use the clipping mask to merge images and create effects that could blend one image with the other and make it look like its a part of the other. At first, it was difficult for me to figure how to use layer mask, but then I taught myself how to break it down to the basics and use the magic brush tool to choose the object that I wanted in the forefront (the hot air balloon) then start to layer the images and put the UFO in between the two.
These skills helped me understand the basics of photoshop a little more and how to blend and merge elements.

Using the skills that I learned this class, I tried to make a movie poster out of the tools.
