In the sixth week of our classes, we clarified a bunch of our doubts about our Timeline project.
As we dove into our new topic, I got to learn about several different aspects about different civilisations. For example, I learned about the Testudo which was “a cover of overlapping shields or a shed wheeled up to a wall used by the ancient Romans to protect an attacking force”.(Merriam Webster Dictionary) This was interesting to learn because I got to understanding how certain armies aligned forces and the strategies they used for war. I also learned about the Khopesh, which was an Eqyptian sword used for disarming an opponent and pushing their shield out of the way. Learning about the reasoning behind certain objects and their uses was quite interesting knowledge to gather because I got an insight into how their cultures and lifestyles also played a role in their warefare and utensils.
For my final Timeline project, I plan on exploring pottery through the ages and different civilisations.
