In the first week of Time, we delved into the concept of it, and how we relate it to different parts of our lives. We identify events, timelines, eras, with the help of time. The whole concept of time can be relative to its perceiver. Therefore the way in which we associate it can vary and seem distorted or different to others. We make sense of time, through our emotions, senses, experiences and daily life events, certain important events strike a flashbulb memory in our brains, recording the time the event took place and how we perceive it or what part of our life do we associate it with.
I personally, associate time with certain significant memories, of my childhood, or the recent ones of last week, even. These memories help me create a mental depiction of my life and the way I grew up. Through the concept of time, we can also learn how differently we react and deal with memories or current events, with age, time also progresses. I believe this is important for designers to learn because creating designs that are contemporary and are able to resonate with other people is crucial. The more people can relate to designs, the better.
