In this class, I got to creating a layout and design for my future tunnel box. Brainstorming this process was fun and interesting to do because I hadn’t ever created a tunnel box before and getting acquainted with this new art style was like stepping out of my comfort zone. I began tracing out 6 layers for my 10 x 10 box drawings and creating layers based on depth.
Getting exposed to a scalpel knife (or an X-Acto knife) was challenging but as I kept cutting, I got more and more accustomed to it and learned how to be more comfortable with its cuts.
I also researched tunnel boxes and got inspired by a few layouts and styles that I hope to incorporate in my final tunnel box:
